How to Pack for a Cross Country Road Trip
JBay Hits the Road
We’re taking a cross Canada trip starting in Vancouver all the way to Quebec City and back. I think it’s going to be a pretty good trip just want to show you what we’re doing to prepare.
We’ve turned the back seat into a sleeping area. Under the sleeping bag in the back of the car we’ve got a custom cut foamy. We cut it lengthwise and the width is right on the sides so it doesn’t ride up too much. On the drive back we’re going to drive pretty much all the way back from Quebec all the way to Vancouver and someone’s going to sleep and someone’s going to drive. This little padded area comes in handy when someone wants to have a rest.
We’ve got three coolers, nothing fancy, this will just keep the food or drinks or whatever we put in there cold. Windshield washer fluid, a must in the prairies, lots of bugs.

A car top carrier is a must
It carries all of the camping supplies. We’re going to be camping 5 out of the 24 nights. Salt and pepper, lights, dish soap all that kind of stuff.
We’ve got mosquito coils, bedding, towels, toiletries clothing and a little bit of food that still needs to make it’s way into the car. Coffee filter for camping. Bug and tar cleaner for the prairies because the car is going to get very dirty.
I think Zion the cat is going to be very angry that we left, but we’ll be back in a few weeks.
